Hi Experts,

In 24.2.0, I get notifications(toast) upon sending a new request task to the mobile (Test both Windows and android versions), but with same settings and devices in 24.2.1 the notifications not received. I sent a test notification and the logs don’t give any errors either.

Would their be any known framework bugs ? or have I missed anything ? (application parameters relate to this notification hub and url also identical in these two env. In installed app details Push is also enabled. The environments are ifs demo environments. Note that push sync working ok)

Can someone clarify please?

Thank you,

Roshan

We had a similar case raised for one of our demo environments, but when we checked after a couple of days it has started to work. Can you check once more and see if it works today.

Otherwise I think it is best to add a report to IFS, so we have a look at it. I am not sure what is going wrong, if you have the the two HUB parameters as exactly the same in the two environments.

Hello @wrprabash

If notifications worked in 24.2.0 but not in 24.2.1, and logs show no errors, try the following:

  1. Check Notification Hub Settings:

    • Ensure the Notification Hub URL and Push Notification settings are correctly configured in Solution Manager > System Parameters.
  2. Verify Push Notification Registration:

    • Open the mobile app settings and confirm that push notifications are registered and enabled.
  3. Test with Different Users & Devices:

    • Try sending notifications to different users or devices to determine if the issue is user-specific.
  4. Check Background Services:

    • Ensure that all necessary background jobs for push notifications are running.
  5. Wait & Re-test:

    • As mentioned in @JOOLSE’s response, some demo environments had similar issues that resolved after some time. Try again later.

If the issue persists, consider reporting it to IFS Support for further investigation.

Best regards,
