How to limit the visibility of work orders for different groups of workers

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hello everyone

In my organization, work orders will be used by many groups. Is it possible to restrict access to work orders? I would like everyone to be able to see only their own work orders.

Hi Krupa,

You can restrict access for work orders , removing the site for a specific user.

Please see the test steps:

  1. Go to site per user page, select 2 users and remove the site 1 from one of the users.
Site 1 is added in user ALAIN
Site 1 is not added in user BAMAUK
  1. Now log in with user ALAIN, Create a WO.
  1.  Now log out and Log in with user BAMAUK, search the work order.

You can see that WO is not showing for the user.

I hope you get the answer🙂

Regards,

Thilina.

Thank you for the answer, however, I am looking for a solution where I will not have to create additional locations, An example here could be administrative groups on work task templates.
I hope that the topic will develop and find some more alternative solutions.

Thank you very much for your support :)

Hi Krupa,

From the current functionality, Work orders can’t have restricted access using the administrative groups on work task templates. However, you can raise a ticket to the IFS support to consider this as a future enhancement.

Thilina.
