Hello Experts,

We are currently working on IFS 24R1 and have encountered an issue in Request Management → Work Task, specifically under the Material tab when using the Reserve/Unreserve → Reserve option iService Management → Request Management → Request Task Handling → Request Work Task → Material Tab → Reserve/Unreserve → Reserve].

Although the required part is available in one of the warehouses linked to the Site, the system does not allow reservation from this warehouse if it is not the same remote warehouse as specified on the Work Task. It throws an error and restricts reservation unless the part is available in that exact remote warehouse.

However, I am able to reserve the same part using the Reserve Manually option under the same menu path. The issue is that the system does not automatically pick and reserve from other warehouses linked to the Site that have the part in stock.

 

 

However, when I tested the same scenario in the IFS Demo environment for 25R1 and our Internal 24R2, I was able to successfully reserve parts across warehouses mapped to the same Site.

Any insights or is there any configuration setting that enables automatic reservation from all warehouses linked to the Site?

Does the user/assignee have a default warehouse specified in “Users Connected to Warehouses”?

Thank you for the update. Yes, I have configured the ‘Users Connected to the warehouses’ mapped to my Mobile Tech user ID, which is assigned in the task with the remote warehouse, and I have also set it as the default warehouse.

 

If you set the default flag to false and try again, what happens?

Yes, I tried that as well, but it throws an error to map the default warehouse additionally with the existing error. Please find the screenshot below for your reference.

Kindly advice on the same.

It’s not an error, but an information message.

If you remove the record in the connected warehouses, does it work then? 

I’m assuming you want to reserve material from a central warehouse and then transfer/ship this to the assignee? The reservation should then ideally happen before the assignment.

The issue was due to incorrect user mapping on my part. Since I had also configured my user ID as a mobile user, it caused the error. Once I removed the user connection to the remote warehouse, the issue was resolved. Thank you very much for your support.
