Email Work Task Assignment as ICS File?

Is there a way to create an event that emails work task information as an ICS file so maintenance techs can add it to their calendars?

Better yet, is there a way to sync work task assignments to an outlook calendar?

Synchronization is difficult to support, and sync engines are available but expensive.  The new IFS Outlook calendar sync (for CRM) is one-way: Outlook to IFS.

I don’t think this will help you, but here are a couple of screenshots:

Hello Mark,

To the first part of the question - I have not done it before, but it seems to the untrained eye that a simple .ics file could be created programmatically and then emailed out to a user as an attachment, all via an event.

Hi Mark,

We have built an integration between office 365 and IFS using Microsoft Graph API

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/use-the-api

The integration is mainly written targeting Apps8 and Apps9 customers. However, we could easily use the same architecture to synchronise work task assignments to an outlook calendar. Please message me, if you would like to know more details.

Regards,

Namal
