Hi,

Have found an issue where the object key is different if we do the connection from the “object” page or from the Document Revision page. Example

  1. Go to page Part Revision and attach a document.
  2. Go to the Docuement Revision page and look at the Object Key for your newly created document.
  3. object key   (CONTRACT=WL^ENG_CHG_LEVEL=1^PART_NO=ABC^)
  4. Delete the connection and instead add it manually from Document Revision Page.
  5. Select Object LU PartRevision
  6. Find your part using FIND in Object Key and save
  7. Object Key: (CONTRACT=WL^PART_NO=ABC^ENG_CHG_LEVEL=1^)

You see that PART_NO and ENG_CHG_LEVEL have switched place?

Causing some issues in report development. @Mathias Dahl do you know the reason for this?

You should report this to be fixed in the form or page that has the “object” (it will not be fixed by the Docman team since we can and should not do anything about this). The way the connections are created from the Docman side (Document Revision / Objects) is more or less always the “right” way since we only follow the object’s entity model. If there is an error, it’s because some error has been made in the form/page of the object.

Yet another candidate for a KBA, @Yasas_AK?
