custom field value from mWO doesn't transfer in IFS Cloud

Hi All,

I encounter an issue with a persistent CF in mWO. The value that is assigned to the CF doesn’t go into the new task in IFS Cloud.

  • I have created a CF in JtTask entity → referencing a Yes/No custom enumeration
  • I have added the CF in Entity Details + added it to the NewTaskAssistant

In mWO I create a new task

→ Additional Work

→ New Work that needs to be done

→ set CF to true/yes in NewTaskAssistant

→ Task is created in IFS CLoud, but the value yes/true that I set in the NewTaskAssistant is not pushed into IFS Cloud.

Any ideas what I might be missing here? @Alexander Heinze @Rukmal Fernando @kathlk

@Marcel.Ausan the short answer is that Custom Attributes are not supported on Assistants - see more here: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r2/040_tailoring/225_configuration/950_configuration_references/060_knownlimitations/#custom_attributes_on_assistants

Yes, you can add them in Page Designer, but as it happened here, they will not get persisted. Note also that in this case, New Task Assistant is based on a Virtual rather an Entity for persistence, so there is no way for the CF to be persisted.

On a related note, 25R1 has a new capability coming up for creating Assistants from scratch in Page Designer which lets you work with Custom Entities and create your own Assistants, but the above limitation would still hold especially for Virtual-based Assistants.
