Hello,

I am looking for a setting that we may have missed in IFS CLOUD for a feature that we had in IFS V8.

In V8, when creating a new Work Order, Pre Postings are not populated, but they are automatically populated when connecting to a project.
In IFS CLOUD, Pre Postings are not populated when connecting to a project.
However, if we add a task to a Work Order, it inherits Pre Postings in a fully automated manner.
It seems that the activity sequence that does not automatically integrate into the Pre Posting line when connecting to the project is missing.

How can I have Pre Posting automatically populated when connecting to the project?

Thank you in advance.

Barth

Hi @Barth

The reason that it work in APP8 was because the transactions were all against the WO, and therefore the pre-posting set up on the project were inherited to the WO. In IFS Cloud (and APP10), where the transactions are all against the Work Tasks, the pre-posting defined on the project will instead be inherited to the work tasks. The pre-posting on the WO level could be seen as more of a template of what it should be on the underlying work tasks.

Is there another reason why you’d want to have this inherited to the WO? Is it to have the possibility to see what will be inherited to the work tasks before any tasks are created?

Thanks,

Daniel
