Hi All,

We are using the MWO application with the Service App name and have observed that the initialization process is taking longer than expected.

We raised this concern with the IFS Team, and based on their suggestion, we are considering the use of the Entity field to optimize performance. Additionally, you have advised limiting the amount of data loaded in the Customer tab. However, due to business requirements, we need to load customer address information for service-related activities.

We have also observed that the following entities are contributing to the longer initialization time:

  • LocationPartyAddressQuery
  • RequestContactNote
  • MobileCommMethodQuery
  • CustomerInfo
  • ScContractSite
  • PscContrProduct
  • EventLog
  • InventoryPartInStock
  • JtTask
  • StandardTaskResource
  • InventoryPart

We would appreciate your guidance on the following:

  • The correct approach to apply the Entity field for the above queries and entities.
  • The recommended where conditions or filters that should be applied to optimize data loading.

Thank you for your support and assistance.

Regards

Ashish

Hi Ashish,

This is a very detailed and specific ask and would require investigation to resolve. Without access to your datasets/instances/environments/setup/etc it is unlikely to be resolved on this forum.

I would suggest helping the end customer form a business case for further consultancy budget and approaching this pragmatically with an experienced MWO consultant. I suspect there will be some trial and error involved too. Other options would be to continue to engage IFS either via Support or Customer Success (you could also try Partner Success if that is available to you).

Good luck with finding a working solution,

Pete
