Apps9 Serial Object - how to edit contained objects?

Hello All,

Can anyone advise how, if at all possible, to remove a contained serial object without deleting the whole record and starting again? This is only needed when a mistake is made, however I can not find a way to remove the ‘Belongs to Object’ once it has been saved.

Hi Sholmes,

 

There is a possibility by sending the part to Inventory to remove from the parent.

Set the Object to Out of operation.

Use Right mouse option “Equipment Object Navigator” and send to inventory.

 

Return the part to inventory through the Work Order> Return line.

This will remove the Belong to object and it is possible to place in facility after issuing it again.

Thanks @ereslk , unfortunately we have set the serial object up so that they do not go into inventory as this was not wanted by the business - big note to users that input the data to ensure it is correct first time.

OK.. but then it might be in a wrong position. If it need to change the parent its possible but we can remove it by the above process only.

Let’s see if there will be an improvement in future releases.
