We want to add a custom field (Wanted Date) to the All tab of the Inventory Part Availability Planning screen. Can’t do it since the LU OrderSupplyDemand is on the Excluded LUs screen. We are looking for a workaround folks might have figured out. This is a great collection of info and our Planners use it constantly. It would be even better to be able to add the Wanted date for the Part/demand or supply line. Users can RMB to it but that means doing it one and a time and makes analysis almost impossible for parts with alot of demand/supply. We are in Apps 9 UPD 11 but I see it’s still excluded as of Apps10 UD 5 Thanks
Our QC analysis results were displaying just fine until we applied IFS Apps 10 Update 11 - 14 on March 12th. Now the results recorded during processing of a shop order are not displaying on the Analysis Results. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks
In IEE IFS Apps 10 UPD 14 A Key Maintenance user is receiving this error message after creating a new PM Revision (in Preliminary status), adding a couple of Work Task Templates, saving then trying to Activate the PM Revision. I do not get that error when I try to duplicate it (I have ‘everything’ access as I am in IT). I can’t imagine what could be different in his permissions or user profile that could cause such as error. you can see that the task temp status for all three says Active.Any ideas?
We are tryin to use the Shipment Handling Unit functionality to build our shipments. If we designate a pallet as a Handling unit and start adding Shipment lines to it but then find out, for example, we need to pull off one or several cases of product from the pallet because they don’t all fit on the pallet or we need a different lot # of one product, can we/how can we do it? I’ve read the help and there is Delete and Disconnect but seems they are only available at the Handling unit level (i.e. to delete the entire Handling Unit. ) True? any workaround?
I have previously created migration jobs that successfully updated custom field, using the IFS instructions for handling Custom fields. This time, I am receiving an error that I don’t understand: it may be a clue that when I open my migration spreadsheet and Connect, it does not prompt me to Open in a New Sheet like normal. I have compared this migration job to another one that I have created to update a custom field successfully and see no difference. Has anyone else seen this and know how to correct this? Thanks
I am an IFS customer and have created many IFS cases . Today, I can’t, nor can my coworker. We get this error when using the Internet Support Center : and using the Customer Engagement screen, the New Case tab is not available. Tried to include a screen print but get an error here in the Community… Anyone know what’s going on?Thanks
Users (some) are getting ‘Object reference not set to an instance of an object’ error when trying to access Expense Sheets in IFS Apps 10 UPD 10 IEE from a saved search shortcut. I have read the other Community answers related to this error but none relate to this scenario. I read one solution that said it could be related to a bad search criteria but I have gone in to his personal profile and can execute that same search without getting the error. we’ve not done an update or upgrade in several months, but this user may be an infrequent user….Any ideas? We are in Apps 10 UPD 10 trying to use Handling Units in outbound shipments. We are entering weights for (pallet) handling units. A few of the handling units are used both our European site and our US site, both of which are in the same Company. The European site needs to use kg (metric measurements) and the US site uses Lbs. How do we accomplish 2 different UoMs for Handling Unit weights for the 2 sites if they are both in the same company? Thank you .
We are in Apps 10 UPD 10 working to implement SSCC, Shipment and Handling Unit labels. After clicking Create SSCC when clicked on the shipment, I do not see an SSCC number for the entire shipment. I have the appropriate checkboxes checked in the Handling Unit rows and do see an SSCC has been generated for each of the 4 pallets When I am clicked on the Shipment line in the Handling Unit Structure, and click ‘Print Shipment Handling Unit Labels’, No of Handling Units = 0 when in fact there are 4 pallet Handling Units in the ShipmentThe report only contains information for the last of the 4 pallets, not all 4, which I would expect for a Shipment Handling Unit. Am I misunderstanding and what am I missing to make this work? Thanks
We applied 3 patches to our Apps 10 UPD 10 environments last weekend that should not have impacted creating Purchase Orders, but we are now receiving the error message ‘FIELD INTRASTAT EXEMPT IS MANDATORY AND REQUIRES A VALUE’ when we try to save a PO for several US Suppliers (so Intrastat Exempt should not even come in to play. ) Just to see if checking that checkbox would fix it, I tried but still received the error. Tried with several other Suppliers/PO and about have received the message when trying to save the PO and half were allowed to save the PO successfully. I can not see any differences in the set up of the Suppliers that worked and the suppliers for whom I received the error when saving a PO. Anyone else seeing this? Is this a bug? Thanks
We want to implement Customer Agreements in IFS 10 UPD 10. When we print or view the standard repot (Customer Agreement), the Agreement Description field is not available. It appears that it is not in the table or view. We planned to use the Agreement Description field to indicate which Distributor and End Customer pair this agreement is for (we sell to Distributors who sell to end customers. We sometimes offer special pricing for these combinations) When we tried to work around this by creating a custom reference field to pull it in to the Report, we get an error. Has this been fixed with a patch? if not, anyone know of a different workaround
We are in Apps 10 UPD 10. Our Accounts payable team is currently manually attaching a document with Document class ‘Payment’ to the Manual Supplier Invoice screen for a Supplier / Invoice, so they have a copy of the supplier invoice to refer to on that screen. They would like the same document to also be attached (automatically if possible) to the Supplier Invoices Analysis screen for that Supplier / Invoice.I thought this was done via Document Object Connection or Object Connection Transformation but I have not figured out how. Hint please? Thanks
We are in Apps 10 and want to implement Voucher approval workflow for Voucher Type M and Voucher Type Q, instead of these Vouchers automatically going to Approved status. We normally use External File upload to upload Q vouchers.First question: I see Ext Voucher Type Q specified as the default. If I wish to use External Voucher Assistant to upload a file of ‘M’ type Vouchers, where do I specify to use Load Type 2 (to load Ms) instead of the default? Uploading Q (default) Voucher Types does NOT result in ‘Voucher Postings’ (tab) - only ‘Voucher Rows’. ‘Voucher Row’ data is grayed out/not editable, but Voucher Postings can be edited (in the case that the approver requires a change to the Voucher amount, etc.) Why does Voucher TYpe Q not result in Voucher Postings? Can we/how can we change that? Thanks for any advice anyone has.
In IFS Apps 10 UPD 10, we are trying to trigger automatic creation of a PM/WO when a machine component reaches a certain threshold of usage.Example: machine #1 needs recalibrating after every 1000 cases of product X is reported via Shop Orders. 1000 cases relates to a number of machine cycles. I am looking at Test points/Parameters tab on Functional object but the measurement (1000 cases) will not be manually entered. I assume I need a counter of some sort when Shop Order for product X is reported.Once the counter reaches the threshold, we want to have a WO automatically created (I think I read this is via a background job.) not sure if I need a custom event and event action or if there is standard functionality in Maintenance I am digging in to IFS Help but can’t quite put the pieces together. Anyone have something like this working?Any hints or guidance is much appreciated.Thanks
In Apps 10 UPD 10, we use Create Consolidated Pick List for Shipment. it is grouped by Warehouse. I see nothing in the app or in IFS documentation that would let us sort the picklist by part number or anything like that. If we can sort that way, it will assist the picker to see all of the same part together, especially relevant for large multi order shipments. Am I just missing it? What order is a pick list sorted by, by default? it does not appear to be by location or by order # or by part #.Thanks
I have built a custom event and event action to notify our Accounting Controller when she has Voucher Type M or Q’s in ‘Awaiting Approval’ status. It triggers fine but it displays the NEW:Voucher_No as a negative number when it is actually ‘202100xxx’ displays as -2095601. I have also tried using OLD:VOUCHER_NO and NEW and OLD:VOUCHER_REF_NO to no avail. Weird thing is if I change the status (for example, to Not Approved) then change it back to Awaiting Approval (which triggers my event), the Voucher number displays properly. Thoughts?Thanks
We have a fairly complex pricing model (using Sales Price Lists and Part Based Price Lists). We also provide rebates to certain customers who sell certain products to certain end users. We think we would like to start using Customer Agreements but would need to do it at the Delivery or invoice Address level. I have read IFS help but do not see anything I think I could use at the address level. Ideas? Thanks
Our manufacturing quality group would like to trigger a Control Plan analysis once for each finished good roll (think roll of fabric) that is produced. Seems like a valid business requirement. I have read the documentation on Sample Frequency Trigger and understand that you can’t create custom trigger types. I have read about Acceptance sampling and don’t think that will do the trick (but maybe I am just missing it.)has anyone done this before? Thanks
It seems like this should be easy but I am getting strange results. I’ve created a custom LU with 3 custom fields: a checkbox for the user to use, a ‘checked by’ field to capture the User who clicks the checkbox along with the date they did it.The ‘Checked by’ field is created as Field Type = Read Only I am using this expression: This does correctly capture the user who is logged on and checks the checkbox. The problem is after that data is entered, when I later log on (or anyone else is) to view that info, it picks up my ID and the current date. It is picking up the user who is logged on (which it is supposed to) but I don’t want that to change when anyone views it. The custom field is not updateable and not insertable (they are grayed out, even if I wanted to make it Insertable but not updateable. I am out of ideas. Anyone out there have any? Thanks
I have read all of the existing Custom Event topics and don’t see anything that helps me with this. I believe it is a simple syntax issue but have tried everything I can think of, unsuccessfully. I am trying to calculate the cost of overissued material for a shop order component at the time it is overissued. It is all working fine, including custom attributes until I try to add one of the custom attributes to a calculation: The Attribute ‘Part Cost’ is calculating correctly and the Over_Cost attribute works until I add * Part_Cost (to multiply the result of Qty_Issued - Qty_required times the part cost). When I add that Part Cost to the Over_Cost attribute, the event will no longer trigger. I have tried to specific Part_Cost in the calculation as Part_Cost and :Part_cost and &Part_Cost and “Part_Cost” and :NEW.Part_Cost and get varying errors with each. Any syntax help is greatly appreciated. I love the Event/Event actions tool and the ability to add Custom Attributes. It l
We are in IFS10 UPD10. I would like to set the Date for Approval to a date in the past. I can’t edit this field. I can’t tell from F1 HELP whether that is standard behavior or not. Thanks
It doesn't appear we can easily combine shipments from two sites into one. Consolidated shipments appear to only look at a single site and it won't let me assign a shipment from one site into a shipment in another site. Does anyone know of a workaround? Thanks

We are looking for a way to prevent or restrict manufacturing operators from reporting QC operations in Shop Orders. We can restrict this via a Filter in Shop Floor Workbench, but do not see an obvious way to do so in Shop Order. The QC operations are in a separate Department and Work Center. We do not use Team or Employee reporting, we use Anonymous Reporting. Thanks
To simplify for Manufacturing operators using Shop Floor Work Bench, we are trying to set a default Work Center when the manufacturing user logs on and is taken to his homepage (Work Bench). We have tried setting a filter then saving the user profile but it did not work. Can this be done? Thanks
