Inventory Part Availability Planning - Demand Code

Is there a way to see the Supply & Demand information only for certain types of supply and demand? The Inventory Part Availability Planning page seems to have all of the data that I am looking for, but I cannot see any indication of the type of supply or demand in the details. In our company, we carry inventory of many parts. For many of these parts, in addition to selling from our inventory, we also have customer orders entered where the supply code is Purch Order Dir. I would like to find a page where I can view all of our inventory supply and demand for a part, excluding the Purch Order Dir data.

For example, in the screenshot below I can see all of the Customer Orders, Purchase Orders and Purchase Reqs for this part. This information would be extremely helpful for inventory planning, but I have realized that it also includes any CO’s or PO’s that are Purch Order Dir. And I see no way to filter those rows out of the table. So in the end, this view is really not very useful for me.

Is there a better page that I could be using to find this information? Really what I am looking for is a view where I can see quantities on hand, quantities on PO, quantities on CO, safety stock...basically all of the information that would be going into the MRP calculations to generate purchase req lines.

Is this filtering not working for you?

Yes, the filtering works functionally. But there is not a field to filter by that helps me get the information that I need. If I were to use this page I think what I would really need is an additional field that contains the Supply Code for each row where the Type is Cust Order, and the Demand Code for each row where the Type is Purch Order. Then I could filter out all of the Purch Order Dir rows so I could see only the data that is actually going to affect our inventory quantities.

@nate.w I agree the supply code would have helped you. Maybe you can try to enable the field as custom field? The view here is complex as far as I know, so it could be bit tricky too.

However, I noticed that peg qtys are null for PO created from the Purch Ord Dir. Also the plannable qty field. Not sure how the pegged qtys are used in other instances. See below screenshot. Highlighted two lines. Top - Purch Ord Dir. Bottom - normal PO

Hi,

Within the pages in MRP: 1) MRP Part Information Top Down and 2) MRP Part Information Bottom Up you see the supply- and demand orders quantities that are affecting the MRP calculation. You don’t see the supply code/demand codes of the orders. Perhaps you already know this, anyway here we go…. And this information is not LIVE, it is based on when last MRP calculation was performed.
