I have 2 global codes (NOTE_TYPE_A and NOTE_TYPE_B). NOTE_TYPE_A is the parent code name for NOTE_TYPE_B.

I have 2 combo boxes that populate their values; however, combo box B (NOTE_TYPE_B) is not dependent on combo box A (NOTE_TYPE_A).

I have followed this link but it is still not working for me

Hi @qquac ,

It sounds like all of the metadata is not getting set. I have found that the best way to have combo boxes work correctly is to setup the metadata for the search first in the lookups section of the metadata. This way you can be sure that nothing is missed.  When you setup the lookups information it will require 3 lines when using a global code.

The order should not matter but I usually have the information in this order

you can see from the screen shot that there is one line for the code_value, code_name and active.

Once you have this setup for the field in question, be sure to save and refresh cache. you may also need to close and reopen the ui designer. You will be able to tell if the ui designer is seeing the metadata if there are 2 listings for the one field when you go to select the field for the screen. One will show a drop down arrow and the other will show a magnifying glass

Try adding the combo box metadata this was that should solve the problem.

Best Regards.
