Business Opportunity doesn't auto close when CO is raised.

As per the title, in my Basic data I’ve defined that when a CO is raised from an Opportunity that the Business Opportunity must be Closed after. 

 

However, when I try to convert a Business Opportunity Line to a Customer Order this option is both False and Greyed out. Why is this happening when my basic data settings confirm the opposite of this? 

 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ​@tunstalltom ,

The basic data setting determines the default value of the "Close Business Opportunity" checkbox in the Create Customer Order dialog. This setting is applied only when creating a customer order from the business opportunity header, not from an individual line.

When creating a customer order from a line, other lines may still be associated with, for example, a sales quotation. Therefore, the opportunity cannot be closed as part of the order creation.

To close the opportunity while creating a customer order, use the header-level command.

Do you happen to know if IFS have removed the ability in EE Update 23 Apps 10 to create a Customer Order from a Business Opportunity Header?

 

The Create Customer Order functionality is not an RMB option in EE and seems to be removed. We have the Presentation Object granted to IFSAPP but I still cannot create a Customer Order from the BO Header. Note that I CAN do this for the same Opportunity in Aurena, just not EE.

The RMB option has not been removed. I can see the Create Customer Order command and also the options to create quotations and contracts which are also missing in your picture.

I can see you’re in UPD23 too thanks for the response. 

 

What’s weird is that with IFSAPP, I can’t see those options BUT with IFSADMIN I can. Will escalate to IFS Support to see what’s going on. Thanks for your help :)

This was actually a profile issue where some unknown party within our company had (unknowingly to us) disabled the menu items in the base profile that’s applied to our users.

 

 

Issue is resolved, thanks ​@Annjse for confirming it was not indeed removed in U23, led me to investigate client level issues on Tom’s behalf there ;)
