Work Types per Mx Event Type What does this do in MRO?

Just a convenient way to see the type of event in a maintenance order?

 Hi @qzliu

Mx Event types are the ways from which, maintenance events will be created. Therefore, when creating a maintenance event, we can decide which work types can be used, that will in turn be used in the work orders that will be later created from these maintenance events.

For example, lets select manual maintenance event.

It has 4 work types defined.

Now let’s create a manual maintenance event for a part.

You can see that only the work types defined above are available to select.

After creating a manual event, we can create a maintenance order with distribution type = work order, including this event.

Once the maintenance order is released, work order is created for this event, and you can see the work type included on the created work order and task.

Help documentation:

This activity is used to connect work types (defined in IFS/Maintenance) to maintenance event types (defined in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management). This connection is necessary to be able to create complex assembly service contracts for serials in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management. This connection enables you to pick a valid work type when you distribute maintenance events to a work order.
