Question

IFS with Nesting integration on SigmaNest (or other nesting tool)

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hi everybody,

anybody dealed with SigmaNest (or other nesting specialized software) integrated to IFS?

Ideally on IFS Cloud (or IFS 10 at least, where is the support of operation blocks).

The role of nesting software (SigmaNest ) should be in our case:

  • to provide cutting plans
  • these cutting plans should be transformed to operation blocks in IFS
  • consequently, created operation blocks should be proccessed in standard way

Thanks in advance.

With kind reagrds,

Zdenek Bäumelt

Hi,

At Doppelmayr we have developed an interface to Nesting AlmaCAM.

As it was developed already for IFS 7.5, no operation blocks existed. Furthermore, the interface relates to a customization on the shop order material lines to handle the lot sizes and quantities of raw material.

You can reach out in a personal message to share more details.

regards Johannes

According to the search results, there are several nesting software options available that can be integrated with IFS, including SigmaNest, TrueNest, NestFab, Optinest, and CutNest. The integration of nesting software with IFS KMFusa can provide benefits such as automatic data transfer, improved efficiency, and reduced engineering cycle time. However, it is important to ensure that the nesting software is configurable and supports bi-directional integration at various points along the workflow. Additionally, it is essential to consider the associated costs and whether the prerequisite modules for integration are owned. While there are no specific details on the integration of SigmaNest with IFS, it is possible to find more information by contacting the software providers or requesting a demo.
