Question

Handling unit capacity

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Dears,

When I want to use handling unit in register arrivals IFS APPS 10 checks for handling unit capacities on the part. When we create them on parts that r already in inventory he doesn't.  Why is it required in register arrivals and not when the part is in inventory?

Hi,

You can attach to handling units on Register Arrivals page with no capacity defined. Select the preferred HU Type ID and set the packing rule as ‘Single Handling Unit’.

Hi Upasari,

Thanks for the reply!

I am looking for the reason why capacity is required while receiving through handling unit in Register arrival and not required through inventory part in stock?

Hi,

If you have HU capacity defined for a part, you will get the option to use HU capacity when packing in Inventory Part In Stock.
