Hi Community,

I have a question regarding project deliverables and the supply option = PMRP.
I did a test with a purchase part : By defaut the systems sets a supply option = Purchase and i can manually change the value to PRMP.
Once that done, i went throught the all process
- Approuve the item
- Run GRC
- on the Material plan tab,  RMB to perform PMRP for the part.

The PMRP ran and created a purchase requisition.
All those information are not visible on “material supply tab”.
I quite stuck to reserve my part (i did all the flow purchase req/PO/register arrival)

Do you think it’s a normal behavior ? How can I reserve my part ?

Thanks,

Hi,

It can be hard to find, but it is in for example the shipment you want to ship the material with:

In essence you always need a shipment or a work task or a parent PD Item to reserve the material against

hope this helps a bit

Regards Erik

Hi Erik,

Thanks for your reply.
In the shipment view, I can see the button “manual reservation available” when the planning item =shipment is created.
I saw that there are some possibilities in the material plan to reserve the part.
I tested the “reserve to shipment” but I did not succed. (it seems available only for shop orders ?)

Here are the steps followed :
1/ Add manufactured part + copy structure
2/ Change supply option to be PRMP + approve the part
3/ Calculate GRC
4/ Modify the option reserve at receipt to be “Reserve to shipment”
5/ Create planning item =shipement
6/ Launch PRMP and shop order process until the receipt of the part.
After this step, the part is my project inventory but not reserved.

Is it the right process ?

@mmoulie I’m not very familiar with Project Deliverables, but in normal Project Demand, there is a flag to reserve the material on receipt.

Maybe there is something like that for Project Deliverables as well?

Hi @Marcel.Ausan ,

It seems that if the part is supplied with PRMP/MRP option the only way to reserve the part is to do what @EriLNL explained.

There is an option quite similar to the one you mentionned “reserve at receive”. But as far as I understand in the IFS documentation there are saying that “The Reserve at Reciept setting is available on shop order plans and purchase order plans”.

@EriLNL : could you confirm ?

Does someone has any documentation about project deliverables ?

Thanks for your help,

Hi,

it is available in the Material Plans

It has these 3 options:

I think it also reserves against the parent item if the parent does not have a SO or PO yet
