I'm using IFS Application 10 for aircraft maintenance control, MRO. Maintenance programs vary depending on the serial number of each aircraft, modification applied to each one. To meet the variations by the IFS, we would have to set up several maintenance programs, which would make it difficult to update when revising the maintenance manual. The question is how to put together a single maintenance program that would handle multiple requests or is it even possible to create a way to update all programs when only one of them is updated against a revision of the maintenance manual. Multiple maintenance programs for the same aircraft make updating difficult.

Would it not be an option to use different maintenance groups for the different variations that need to be address, beaing in mind that the Mx Program really does not have any influcence on the Mx Plan.   The plan is what determines when different activities occur, using the Modifiy Active progam should then allow for some adjustment to the different intervals for the scheduled maintenance events.   In turn the only time that an update of the Program may then be needed is when there is an addition to the maintenance event code(maintenance code) for a specific aircraft.

I know this may not suit your customer but although the FAM solution can support a vast proportion of the requirements for CAMO functions it is highly recommended that the IFS Maintenix soltion be utilised as it purpose focussed on the compliance requirements for Aviation Assets
