Functionality and Usage of the 'Propose Project Transaction' Checkbox

Hello everyone,

 

I've come across the 'Propose Project Transaction' checkbox when creating a project.

Could someone explain the functionality and typical usage of this feature within IFS?

Hi @Navoda.Nuwangi ,

When you issue material demand to the project there is an option to also create a project transaction, for the purpose of invoicing the project customer for the items you issue.

The ‘Propose Project Transaction’ setting has the effect that when you issue material demand, a dialog box will automatically open prompting the user to create a transaction. As not all projects will invoice this type of material issue there is an option to switch it off (by setting this parameter to ‘No’). Note that even if the parameter is set to ‘No’, it is still possible to manually open the dialog to create a project transaction.
