this error is comming from Service Contract window, we are doing pre-posting and got below error. any idea what is wrong with the project itself? Thank you.

I’m not familiar with the Service Contract, but the error implies that an activity hasn’t been entered. In the Preposting dialog there is a field for ‘Activity Seq’, did you also enter a value there?

Problem is resolved. It is due to wrong project ID entered. Normally we don’t enter Activity Sequences code, as the posting control is not configured for pre-posting project activity. on pre-posting dialogue box, user entered the normal project id, instead of financial project id, since they have different project type, I believe this could be the reason.
