Hi IFS specialists,

my colleagues have started to search parts using the Enterprise application search.

But as result we get only part catalog, sales parts, supplier for purchase parts, but not inventory parts (what we would need).

Does anyone know how to add inventory part in the search Domains?

Thank you for any hint :-)

Regards Martina

Hi Sherry, thank you for your reply. Good to know, that it should work.😊

In Settings I only get these options, no clue where I can enable the search for InventoryPart.

@ALHAGMO

In IFS Applications 10, in the area of Enterprise Application Search, there are number of search domains available which have been released with the core application. To use them while searching, in other words, if you want to perform a search in that particular functional area which the search domain is build (for instance Inventory Parts here), that particular search domain needs to be in enabled state.

Yes, you can activate a search domain using the way you have mentioned above. Please note that this operation, which creates the text index from the scratch as well if it is not already there, is usually a heavy operation (again depending on the number of records in the relevant base tables). The operation can cause DML operations blocking on the base table of the search domain during the time of its execution; hence it is advised to schedule this actualization operation in a suitable time window which non-business critical for that functional area.
