Hello everyone,

I am looking for guidance on activity-level security in IFS Cloud Project Management.

My scenario is:

  • Project A
    • Subproject A
      • Activity 10
      • Activity 20
      • Activity 30

I want User A to have access to Activity 10 only, while not being able to view or access Activities 20 and 30 within the same subproject.

Any insights, examples, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @avinpwc,

IFS Project Access functionality provides option to configure user access at Sub-project level only, and it is not possible to configure at activity level.

You may think about to redesign your Project WBS instead. e.g.,

  • Project A
    • Sub Project A
      • Sub Project A.1
        • Activity 10
      • Sub Project A.2
        • Activity 20
        • Activity 30

This WBS will provide the option to limit User A access to Activity 10 by granting access for Sub Project A.1

Or

  • Project A
    • Sub Project A
      • Activity 10
    • Sub Project B
      • Activity 10
      • Activity 20

This WBS will provide the option to limit User A access to Activity 10 by granting access for Sub Project A
