Hi!
The requirement is to display the absence hours in the ‘Activity Load Details’ in the “Resource Analysis” page (See screenshot 1) when an employee records absence using ‘Attendance Hours’ in the “Time Registration” window (See screenshot 2). When using the “Time registration” window to record absence, it picks ‘Wage Type’ and ‘Wage Code’ not the absence type. However, would like to know how this connection is built and what are the basic data that we must review to ensure the connection. This is from 24R2 version. Please assist. Thank you!

Hi,

There are multiple sources of Absences as far as Resource Analysis goes, these can be visible via the Resource Activities overview page, however I think the main two that would relate to your question would be either Absence Registration or Time Card Results and both these sources should be available in the Resource Analysis graph.

To get time registrations reflected in Absence Calendars then the wage code needs to be linked to an Absence Type

So in the screenshot from Resource Activities above then both absences were registered via Time Registration. The absence on the 26th September was registered using a wage code that was not linked to an Absence Type therefore the source the absence for Resource Management is Time Card Result. The one registered on the 25th September was linked to an Absence Type and therefore, even though it too would create a Time Card Result record, it also created an Absence Registration record which is why its source in Resource Management is Absence Registration.

Both of these absences are available in Resource Analysis but just with different origins/sources.

So even without an Absence Type linked to the wage code they should still appear in Resource Analysis. If however they should also integrate to Absence then the wage code needs to be linked to the Absence Type via the Absence Group page. There could be other specific Absence Type settings that are needed to facilitate this integration but that is HCM specific rather than relating to Resource Analysis directly.

Thank you so much for the explanation and suggestions @Hugh Batho. It is truly helpful.
