Hi all,

Question about KanBan circuits. When automatic KanBan circuits are created, automatically a kanban card is created. As far as I understand this card is not being used, correct?

What is the purpose this card is created?

Seems to me it would be more logical a card would be automatically created when a electronic kanban circuit is created, because in this kanban type a card is needed.

Kind regards,
Willem

In KANBAN, usually bins are used to store and move items, these bins are usually attached with a card with relevant information on the content.

Hello Dameenda,

Thank for your reply. I understand this. But why is there automatically a card created for a reorder point KanBan and not for an automatic KanBan.

For an automatic KanBan a card is mandatory and for a reorder point it is not.

Kind regards,

Willem

Hi @12gWilleD,

I believe the reason is to maintain consistency of the data model across the Kanban framework.

In both cases Bins/ pallets are supposed to be used to store and move the items to the point of use, So these cards supposed to be attached to them for identification purpose.
