Hi!

We are having a problem when trying to create inventory parts for a new sales site, with the type code Purchased(raw).

The master part is configurable, and it is manufactured on the manufacturing site.
The manufacturing site has the inventory part created with type code manufactured.

Routing heads and configuration structure heads are removed, so should not be an issue.

When i try to create the inventory part for the site i get the error:

We are running IFS Cloud 24.1.1.

Hi @JONI,

This error comes when you try to create the configurable inventory part of type Purchased (Raw).

Since you are trying to create a purchase type part select Part Type as “Purchased”, instead.

Thanks for your reply Tharindu!

Issue is we need the inventory part on the sales sites, to be “Purchased (raw)”.
This was possible, and we have verified that it was possible in IFS Cloud version 23.1.10.
Only type code 2 - MANUFACTURED_RECIPE, was not allowed as a configured part.

 Version 23.1.10

In more recent versions of IFS It has been added additional type codes to the checks on inventory part creation.

Version 23.2.6

Not sure of this is an intentional change or not...

Hi @JONI ,

I had a look in both of the 23R1 and 23R2 Service Updates Fixes excels but couldn’t find anything directly related to this change.

Think it is better if you could raise a case to IFS and get an official response to this.
