Hello,

We have a shop order with a main product and a by-product. A user is asking why the by-product does not appear as a supply on the part’s inventory part availability planning page.

Does or should IFS treat a by-product has a supply signal from a shop order?

For context, the part that is the by-product is also part of the materials to be issued.

Please see attached screenshots below.

Any information or context would be appreciated. We are currently running IFS Cloud 23.1.7.

Thanks,
Kyle

@kmonto Try enabling User Produced Part as Supply in MRP.

Hope this helps !

Thank you @Buddhika Kurera That makes sense to me. What would I have to do to see that received on the Inventory Part Availability planning screen? I flipped the switch and reran MRP for that part but it is still not appearing.

@kmonto Since there is a shop order for the part it should give you the results. I hope you reran the MRP for the part 611314 (Shop Order Part).

Hi, Above screenshot is just the default value per part.

You need to dive into the product structure page and checkout the Produced Parts tab (in later cloud versions) or By-Products tab (in earlier versions). Here you have that flag again 🙂 Make the necessary changes.

And it does not end here 🙂 Who said it was going to be easy….

For your already created shop orders, you must revisit this flag which you can find under Shop Order / Produced Parts.

All in all - if you have problems, first look into the tab below:

Thanks @majose That did the trick for the Shop Order I already had open.
