Serial part tracking after delivery only

Hi - I found a few statements in the documentation that may help. If this doesn’t help, can you please provide a more detailed example of the functionality you want to achieve?

• If the After Delivery Serial Tracking option is enabled, you will be allowing the system to set a serial number on a part on occasions other than when receiving parts into inventory. Examples of such occasions are when parts without serial tracking have been issued to a delivery structure or when parts without serial tracking have been put directly into the facility.
• If the serial part is in a PDM structure, all parent parts must also be serial parts with the After Delivery Serial Tracking flag set. (The flag, Inventory Serial Tracking, may be optionally set.)
