Hello Community,

I would like to know how is it possible to change automatically the Phase In date of the revision while we create an inventory part ?

I check another topic, where it is mentionned that I can do this thing by Custom Events.

SO I created a custom events that is triggered well while Invdntory Part is created.

 

But I think something is wrong with my custom action see below :

Maybe I’m trying to update something that is not existing for now. So maybe I should change the custom event … I’m not sure.

This could be easily done by Defining the Part as an Engineering Part and then Transfer the Part to the Site. In the Transfer Assistant we can define the Phase in date in the Proposed Start date field.

We decided to do a migration job that will update the phase in date each 30 seconds.

I know it is not the best way to do so but I think it was the easiest.

 

Hi Nicolas,

For one of our clients, we configured custom event for same requirement where event creates a background job with inventory part creation itself. Background job automatically updates Inventory Part Phase In date.
