Remove Obsolete Work Centres so they can't be selected in Shop Orders

Hi,

 

Is there a way to remove work centres so that they cant be selected in drop down lists or on the operation tab of shop orders?

Have had cases where an old WC has been selected by mistake.

Which version are you on? I believe at it has been possible at least from Apps 10 to set the Validity of a Work Center to Blocked to prevent it from being used.

We are Apps 8 but moving to Cloud soon.  Good to know it is going to be covered.

@jsyme Yes in apps 8 there was no good way to handle this. I think some updated the work center to a description like “OBSOLETE” and then changed the List of Values to exclude records with such description.

Maybe better to wait for the IFS Cloud upgrade :)
