Hi, Community,

some suppliers they never post the label outside the package, hence, sometimes, we have to register arrival to Arrival location, then we open the package and scan the serials.

we are trying to utilizing the REGISTER_ARRIVALS → Detail TAB → RECEIVE_SERIALS_TO_ARRIVAL. We checked this box, and we wish system could bypass the serial no scanning even the part is a serial tracking part. but it doesn’t work, system still ask for serial no when we are doing register arrivals.

how to better understand this RECEIVE_SERIALS_TO_ARRIVAL? how to utilize it?  need your expertise.

Thank you.

Hi Ron,

Hope you mean the WaDaCo process configuration for the Register Arrivals process. There, the RECEIVE_SERIALS_TO_ARRIVAL check box seems to control the location to appear within the Register Arrivals WaDaCo process, and only the arrival type locations can be selected if it is checked.

If the parts you are going to register arrivals / received are serial tracked in your inventory, it is a must to enter a serial / scan a serial upon receiving. However, if you are going to receive a purchase order, you can try reserving the serial serial numbers within the PO line, before registering the arrival, and making the serial number to auto fetch within the WaDaCo process, whether it will going to work for you.

If a part is serial tracked, a serial number should be there within the receipt process.

Thanks,

Are you trying to receive in to Arrival location without Serial numbers? If yes, then in Register Arrivals screen you can simply Receive. It will store your items in an Arrival location without Serial numbers. Later when you know the Serial numbers you can assign serials move to a Picking location.

This is in App10.

@ThushAsanka  yes, we are receiving into Arrival location, we just want the system bypass the serial no scanning process after we checked the RECEIVE_SERIALS_INTO_ARRIVAL box in the REGISTER ARRIVAL, Details Tab. unfortunately,  it does not work in WADACO.  we actually would like to use the same functionality in IEE, RMB - Receive rather than Receive with Serial/Lots…

per your comments, serial has to be there. then we might need to change our process.

Thank you.

@AanHGTS  thank you for your reply.  We would like the “Receive” functionality to be performed exactly on the WADACO, handheld. so far no luck.

Thank you.

Hello Ron,

You can try the below settings for the highlighted data items which related to the serial settings in REGISTER ARRIVALS wadaco process, along with the RECEIVE_SERIALS_INTO_ARRIVAL check box ticked.

Not sure this will help, because there’s a possibility you’ll get an error at the end of the wadaco arrival flow, but at least give it a try.

Thanks,
