Few customers have raised the concern of ‘Plan alternate component’ option not being available under PMRP windows in Aurena (Perform project MRP per activity, Perform PMRP per project PNG) is there a specific reason for this system design? Keen to what are the alternate methods available in this regard.

Hi,
Many years back it was cut out of scope because of both timing and complexity. The complexity is within the area of netting across multiple project activities for the alternate components. We might need more possibilities to the Material Transfer object. And then if the alternate and the primary component are mutual - then we handle them in a special way in MRP, which technically would be tricky in a PMRP context.
