Hello,

We have a requirement where the Part Cost for a fabricated part should automatically match the value entered in the Part Unit Cost field.

Is there a standard IFS Cloud functionality or setup that allows the Part Cost to be synchronized with the Part Unit Cost automatically?

Any guidance or experience on this topic would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @joaorocha,

There is no Out-of-the-Box functionality to sync/copy Part Cost with Part Unit Cost, and since Part Unit Cost keeps changes based on the stock available/received for combination of Lot Batch and Serial number, it will not be possible to keep these two fields in synch.

Will appreciate if you could share the business scenario/objective by keeping these two values in synch.

@joaorocha the only way I think you could keep the 2 values is sync would be for a part using Standard Cost and Cost Per Part. For these parts, you need to run Cost Calculation and after that Copy Costs to CostSet One. This will update the unit cost with the value from the Part Cost (costset 1). In such a scenario your Part Cost in Cost Set 1 will be always the same as your unit cost.

But the fact that such a question is raised makes me think that the customer doesnțt understand the Costing functionality of IFS. So Ițd suggest some workshops on that area instead of trying to build a CRIM that would be of no help.
