Moving items between internal work centres

Hi All,

I would like to move WIP items between internal work centres and keep track of the movements by having one work centre transfer the item out and the receiving work centre transfer it in essentially. What is the best way to do this?

Hi @AlBarbour,

 

You might can try Transport tasks.

However, I’m not much sure about the business scenario which you are going to execute.

Are you referring Outside work centers?

Could you elaborate with the steps you are currently performing and the scenario that you are going to achieve.

Hi Jagath,

 

You can’t use transport tasks because it is WIP. It is internal work centres so WIP SHIP isn’t applicable by the looks of things.

It is moving items from a Mechanical Work Centre to Electrical Work Centre as an example of the scenario.
