Mass splitting of Shop Order with lot size greater then 1

​@Anders Edvardsen A shop order can be split to multiple order using the Split Shop Order functionality but it should be done one by one and there is no batch operation available.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. Yes, we can split one by one, but it is very time-consuming now that you have large orders of, for example, 100-200 pieces. Then there are a lot of clicks now that you have to enter the split reason, and link it to the serial number. I would have liked this to be done more efficiently in the Shop Order menu.

​@Anders Edvardsen Why do you have the need to split each shop order into lot size 1 in the first place? Typically this is an exceptional process when the entire lot size cannot be completed for some reason, or some rework is needed for a partial quantity etc. 

​@Björn Hultgren , good question. Our Shop Orders are created based on customer orders. If the customer order is for 50 pieces of a part number, we create a production order for the same number, then we split. The reason for the split can be, for example, access to available components/raw materials. Another reason is that we have some requirements in the Work Guidelines that require a signature, and therefore some types of orders are split to consist of only one product so that the technician only signs for the exact product and serial number.

​@Anders Edvardsen Looking at this from the other direction, would it be feasible to set the Max Lot Size = 1 and then when the conditions exist where you can produce in a lot size greater than 1, you merge shop orders, or merge multiple requisitions into one order? Merging can be performed en masse and you do not have to supply a reason code.
