Hi,

We’re just getting started with IFS and I’m trying to understand how Manufacturing Part Attributes get populated. I can see that they are stored in ManufPartAttribute entity but can’t see how they qualify to get included in that entity. I can’t add a new one from Manufacturing Part Attributes screen so I guess that adding something to a Master Part is creating a ManufPartAttribute but I can’t work out what.
Any help appreciated.

 

​@DaveC Manufacturing Part Attributes are created automatically when a new Inventory Part of Part Type Manufactured is created.

 

Starts with “Inventory Part” window by adding your manufactured parts and then component parts. Ideally the master part data setup first. Good Luck! 
 

 

Thanks for the prompt responses, I can see how this fits together now. Looks like we are on a long journey though.
