We somehow managed to connect a Manufacturing Labor Class to a Resource that has a resource type of “Person”. This prevents us from assigning a true person resource to the labor class, creating an error message that says, “Resource Type Person cannot be parent to Resource Type Person”. We cannot break this linkage and create a correct resource connection after so many trials and errors. Any help is appreciated.
Hi. Can you provide a print screen that shows the Resource? Please make sure to include the full screen to see the path to that screen. Please show how you made this connection to a Manufacturing Labor Class and then I can look into this for you. Thanks! Jane

Hi Jane,
Unfortunately, that is our problem. We do not know how the labor class was connected to a person resource.
And when looking at the labor class, the only way we can see the labor class connected to the person resource is by right clicking in the labor class and selecting “Resource Detail”. We do not see any indication or field value on the labor class or person resource saying they are linked.
