Hi,

can we set a max lot size in a DOP structure?

Case: Component A is made in a tank of 500L. In the DOP structure, we have a shop order for componenent A. However, if need more than 500L, we would like to have seperate shop orders for each max 500L.

Thanks!

Unfortunately it is not possible to have multiple shop order / purchase requisitions generated from one DOP order. You must manually reduce the Lot Size of the Shop Order and then create another shop order (which will be created for the remaining quantity)

However, I agree it would be nice if DOP could also respect lot sizing rules. Feel free to create a request in the Idea section.

Hello all,

Any update about this topic? Already some possibilities in IFS cloud to manage this?

Kind regards,

Willem

@12gWilleD Still no plans for this. Handling costs and supply of lower levels would be complex when supplying more than required to a DOP order. If you still think this is valid please do request this by creating an idea from the Idea section of the community. Please include the reasons why such parts must be planned by DOP and cannot be planned by MRP etc.
