Hi,

Please kindly follow our issue;

Manufacturing/Shop Order/Order/Shop Order

In this window in App10, as shown in the following figure, on the Shop Order page, there is a field for the percentage of expected scrap on the shop order.

In the current production conditions in our factory, our products in the shop order are produced with a percentage of rework.
Using the percentage of scrap on the shop order instead of percentage of rework will increase the cost of the goods that are produced, while reworking costs are less than the scrap process.
In this regard, we want to know how to create shop order for product by considering the percentage of rework.
Please kindly let us know your advice;

@Peshala Fernando If you planned to rework, then you don’t need to set a scrap factor as you will not going to scrap and you will be producing the planned quantity and rework the items that has issue right?

Hi Peshala, Re-work and scrap are two concepts altogether. If you want to get an efficiency parameter you could try by defining the rework parts as a separate inventory part. Thereafter raising a shop order against it (repair). Then you could calculate the amount of re-work and also fine measure the labor and machine time spent for the process. The mapping scrap factory to this process would be in-correct.
