Hi,

How can we see in the easiest way if we can manage customer order lines with a steady output of a shop order?

Let’s say we have a big shop order over several months of 200.000 pieces, producing 100 pieces /day. We have several costumer order lines, each week wanting 400 pieces for example.

As we produce 100 pieces a day, it should not be a problem to deliver these costumer order lines. However, in the Inventory Part Availabilty overview screen, we only see the projected stock at the end date of the shop order. So all the costumer lines go in negative projected inventory untill we actually do the reporting, so it doesn’t tell ‘if everything goes according to plan, these customer order lines will be ok in the future’

How can we see that with the current planning, we will be able to deliver (or not)?

Unfortunately there’s no way to define “sub-receipts” of the shop order to indicate several receipts to stock is expected throughout its duration rather than all supply when its finished.

So the remaining options are to either accept the projected negative from a planning perspective and somehow managing this by experience from the planner, or to split the shop order into several smaller orders.
