I have a user that is requesting that the default planner ID from ENG Part be set to one user for manufactured parts and a different user for purchased parts. The only place I know to set this is on the Sites Per User screen under Default Planner ID.
Is there a way to have two based on the type of part?

The request is not possible in the standard. But it can be configured via the solution as described by
Create the corresponding column in the mask Engineering Transfer Site Role…
...and then have the field value inserted here, for example, via an event/workflow:

Aside from what you mentioned, you would have to create a custom event to update the planner as part of the transfer template after adding a custom field containing that information. We may end up doing the same, but haven’t implemented it yet.
