Hi,

We have set up the Master Schedule module to create forecasts for manufactured parts related to Configuration Structures.

MRP correctly goes through all the levels of the structure for material requirements calculation.

We expected the same behaviour for the CRP process for labor, but we have noticed that only the first level of the Configuration Structure is taken into account by CRP for the Master Schedule source (it works correctly for Shop Order or DOP sources).

Are there any known limitations or particular setup requirements?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Guillaume GARNIER

Are all of your sub-assemblies DOP-planned more or less? Do you have any Shop Order Requisitions generated from MRP at all?

The configured parts are treated as P-phantoms in the MRP explosion logic - we don’t create Shop Order Reqs for these parts.

Can you give us some more information, coz this is interesting.

Thanks and Best Regards

-Mats

Hello,

in the screen “Master Schedule Level 1 Part”, the parent DOP part has its <<Allow MRP explosion for DOP part» toogle set to True

when the MRP goes through the structure in this context of Master Scheduling, all the demand lines created have their Type set as “MRP Planned Demand” in the Inventory Part Availability Planning screen (for DOP parts and components).

The exception is the ‘supply’ line for the parent part setup in MS and its purchased material ‘demand’ lines which have a Type = MS Supply in Inventory Part Availability Planning.

When all seems ok in the MRP, on the CRP side, I can see only the routing operations of the parent part.

Thanks
