Hi,
have you any idea how to create Outside Operation Costs for all Parts after creating new Cost Set in IFS Cloud? There could be found the solution using Data Migration but maybe some solution exists in application?
Best regards
Daniel

Hi Cdcdaniek,
Connecting a new cost set directly to a new part is not allowed in the standard application behavior. However, you can create a new cost template and link it to the part through already available cost set in the part cost window.
Hope this Helps.

Hi
thanks but in fact we have a different issue - we need to connect parts that already exist in system (there can be thousands of them) with a new cost set.
Have you any other idea how to achieve it? Or is it necessary to prepare migration job? We would expect there should be some function that can process it using common user’s command in application.
Best regards

Use the Copy Cost Set page.
Here I am copying all cost information from Cost Set 2 to a new Cost Set 88. I also want to copy the costs in the Work Center/Labor Classes and also the Outside Op Costs from 2 to 88.
My Work Center costs and Outside Op costs look like:
Thanks, it looks better but this is “hard copy” - it uses Cost Template from source Cost Set instead of using template that is defined in target Cost Set :-(

You could then use Replace Cost Template Occurrences to change the template from A to B for this new Cost Set, either for all parts or by Cost Group or Part No. Then calculate costs in this new Cost Set.
Hi
great, the solution is not so straightforward as I would expect but it seems to work :-)
Thanks a lot
Daniel
