Which view(s) should I use to reconstruct the multi-level cost structure (with all components)?

Hi @1vincent1 ,

You can use the “Part Cost” window to identify the required views.

Part Cost” window → Structure Multilevel tab shows the breakdown of the components with multiple levels and their costs taken for the parent part.

HI Part Cost and Part Costs pages select Cost Set other than 1 and do the Cost Calculation selecting the options highlighted below.

This will reconstruct the Multilevel Tree, if you want to calculate for many parts in the Site. you can select All Parts Cost Calculation, For a Single Part with subassemblies then ALL Level Part Cost Calculation would do, if the Cost Structure is not needed to re build for Subassemblies, then you can use One Level Part Cost Calculation.

If you need to re construct the cost tree in the Cost Set 1, there is no direct way as it is the Live Cost Set, we need to reconstruct for a Cost Set and Copy to Cost Set 1 using Copy Costs to Cost Set 1.

In the Parts Costs page, it is possible to select multiple parts and do the Cost Calculation/ Copy Costs to Cost Set 1 for Multiple Parts.

The need is a Quick Report to export all cost4 for a mutli-level part.

The customer want to store this extract to compare the different results every month.

Hi Yes quick report would do, also you can use Copy Cost Set functionality to copy the Costs to a Cost Set defined for the Month, then you can easily compare the Structure Multilevel against the Copied Cost Set, but this can slow down cost calculation processes when many cost sets with huge data exists, so time to time it is required to delete the unwanted cost set data to get rid of possible performance risk due to lots of data.

Also possible to export to excel;
