Copy sub project function will fetch data but it will not copy the report code details.

Is there any specific reason for that?

Hi ,

The Copy Sub Project function does have an option to select Report Codes as well.
This is taken from the Activity Level and seems to work fine.

Or are you referring to an alternate scenario?

We experience the same issue and it fails if we like to copy a sub project done in one company to be used in another company. Our expectation is that it should be possible to copy subprojects with all it’s properties, such as report codes from one company to another, given that the report codes exists in both companies.

So when we use copy sub project between different companies, the third step in copy_sub_project wizard dosen´t show up so we can´t Copy report_codes from the template.

You are probably copying from another company.

Report codes are company data like CRE's and Misc. Demand.

Therefore you can't copy them, only the activity classes, document packages etc. that are not company specific.

The RMB ‘Add valid report codes’ allows you minimize the effort for adding them again, but indeed it would be nice if R&D could find something smart for this.

Hi! We have a global project organization that works with the same template framework and report codes. We also have a lot of templates. Templates * companies will be unmaintainable number of templates to manage. Based on the logic behind this, given that report codes exists in both companies there should not be an problem tp also copy report codes.

Maybe the setup like is done with Project Program/Categories can be done for report codes as well.

Where the tax details are transferred to the company table.
