I need some advice regarding capture cost sources when we copy SET 2 to SET 1.

Hi @FABPO,

You can copy cost source information if the Capture Cost Source option is enabled. Cost source information is used in the actual costing method and if each part has cost source information, the cost source information of the relevant part is used in transactions only if it is copied to cost set 1.

This is applicable for parts using Actual Cost, not for Standard Cost inventory Valuation method with Part Cost Level = Cost per Part.

We can define cost sources in the Cost Details Basic data, based on that the possible cost sources are captured by the logic and saved for the part.

 

 

They can be seen in Shop Order Estimate cost as above.
