Hi,

We have a requirement to run MRP for source PM actions only and generate PRs for PM action related demands only. How we can achieve this, so far I could not find an option to select the source on the MRP run screen?

Thanks,

Kasun

@KAMANUK There is no direct option for running MRP on PM actions as I know. Anyhow as the table suggested, the demand coming from PMs is considered. Try using the Selective MRP using the available parameters. Like grouping the required parts into a Product Family etc.

Hope this helps !

@KAMANUK in addition to what @Buddhika Kurera suggested, if (and only if) you don’t need MRP for other parts than the ones used in MAintenance, you could setup the Planning Method to A or B so that MRP will not consider those parts. This way you can be sure when you run MRP it will run only for your Maintenance relevant parts.

Just an idea.

@Marcel.Ausan You meant A or any other Planning Method?
Because Planning Method A is considered in MRP (Lot for Lot). Just noted.

Hi,

How are you planning to segregate inventory onhand? PRETEND: Let say you want to run MRP for Customer Orders and then for PM Actions? After MRP has been executed for Customer Order, are you going to release the orders and reserve them, and then run MRP for PM Actions, so that the two different MRP jobs don’t net inventory onhand twice.

I think you are on thin ice here.

I know some struggles with introducing dummy projects and then run PMRP, but that could also be a bumpy road.

Best Regards,

Mats
