Has anyone had issues using the ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option in Apps10 CTO Configuration Characteristics. I have copied my part configuration revision so I have revision 2 with a status of tentative. I have then created a new configuration characteristic and used the ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option from RMB to connect it to the family and the tentative part configuration revision. It is correctly added to both family and the part configuration revision, but when I test the part configuration revision the new characteristic does not appear so value can not be entered???

However if I now delete this newly added Characteristic from the part configuration revision, and then use the ‘Add New’ on the part configuration to add it back in, when I now test the part configuration revision the characteristc will appear and works as it should. 

I have also tried releasing the part configuration revision after adding a new characteristic using the  ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option and the characteristics not availbale when I configure a customer order, but is available if I use the ‘Add new’ to add the new characteristic to the part configuration revision. 

I have also checked that in all my tests the characteristic is not set to hidden and there are no sales rules to impact the characteristic. 

I am concluding that the ‘Connect Characteristc to’ option does not work correctly and should be avoided and instead you should add characteristics using the Add New’ option on the part configuration revision, but if someone knows different then please let me know.
