Quick Report - SQL expression is wrong

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

I wrote an SQL query using the SQL Query Tool in IFS App 9. But when I try to save the query as a Quick Report it states: SQL expression is wrong (SQL-Ausdruck ist falsch).

The query runs fine in the IFS Query Tool and unfortunately the error message does not specify why the SQL expression is wrong.

Does somebody know what is wrong with my query?

Remove the ending semicolon when you save the quick report

Hi Deniz,

You can try to remove code comments if there are any. In some cases this causes issues.

Multiple reasons why it can be wrong like already stated as above. Think another limitation is when duplicate column names are present.

It is much easier to troubleshoot if you place the query you created in the topic :-).

Thank you, the ending semicolon was the culprit. Now it’s working. 👍
