Hello,

We have an issue surrounding business reporter that is causing frustration in its users. After initial login in Excel, we are able to use BR as needed. However, if we get timed out and attempt to login again, we get the error below. The only workaround we’ve found involves closing all instances of Excel and reopening the business reporter. This is a pain when working on many reports, or when we just have many different documents open. Occasionally this doesn’t even fix the issue and we need to restart the entire computer. Is anyone else experiencing these issues with BR? Anyone have a fix for it?

Thank you,

Dylan

Haven’t received that particular error that I’m aware of, but we frequently close out of business reporter when we are not modifying a report.

For running a BR report, we use the report execution server and pull it down into excel, which reduces the need to be in business reporter.

It is still frustrating to have to deal with it timing out, but we have adapted our workflow to minimize how much we need to be in the tool.

Hi @dritter

Could you please confirm whether you are working on IFS Cloud 23R1 track?

Thank You

Hi @shwiclk yes, we are on 23R1

We are experiencing the same issue with 23R2.  Is there a solution?

We have had a case open for 3 months and have not come to a working solution yet.

Thanks for the info. We would be highly interested to hear from you, should you find a solution. Thank you in advance!

We are downgrading to 24/R1, and are encountering the same issue. Seems to be random. Any updates on this?

Hi @dritter

Is this issue still persisting?

Hi @dritter,

To reduce the frequency of the error, you can try adjusting the “Access Token Lifespan”.

This adjustment can be done by navigating to the IAM Client Details page of IFS Cloud.

Access token Lifespan can only be adjusted by an authorized user.
Further, adjustments done will only be impacted to IFS Business Reporter client.

Hi,

This is a known issue in IFS Cloud and has been resolved versions: 24R2 SU8, 25R1 SU2 and 25R2 EA

Please refer following KBA for workarounds in the meantime:
