Hi all

I am trying to grant access to a user to run a specific quick report we built. But it seems to me that if I grant FND_QUICK_REPORTS to him, she getto run all the Quick reports. is that correct? What's the best way to give access? I am missing the presentation object I used to have in IFS10. This is 24.1.1 by the way.

Thanks,
Asela

Hi @Asela Munasinghe ,
There is a projection created for each quick report.

You can grant access to that projection to grant access to the quick report.

Yes, later only noticed it, thanks Chanaka. After that I guess I have to grant the access through here right? This seems to be new in Cloud

Hi @Asela Munasinghe,

Can you please check with following setup:

  1. Grant full access for Projection OperationalReports to desired users’ End User role.
  2. Similarly grant Quick Report projection as @ChanakaEA suggested.
  3. Ask user to execute quick report through Order Report option available in navigation.

Regards

Abdul Rehman

Sorry for the late reply @Abdul Well, I granted this projection to Functional role I created [for all finance quick report access] which is granted to the end user role Finance. I directly couldn't grant it to the end user role because we use group permission set per end user role.

Still it doesn't work. Do you have another suggestion by any chance?

Additionally, I don't see the publish option for Quick reports in IFS 24R1 like I used to see in IFS10. Do you know why?

Hi @Asela Munasinghe,

Can you please confirm whether user not getting the desired report at all for execution or getting the report and facing some error while execution.

Publish option is not there in IFS Cloud and user can execute quick report by simply granting quick report Projection.

Hi @Abdul

The user is not getting the desired report at all for execution.

Thanks,

Hi @Asela Munasinghe,

There is some issue with users’ permission then.

Can you please check all projections for Users’ End User Role granted directly or indirectly through another Functional Role.

Primary objective would be Quick Report projection linking with Users’ End User Role directly or Indirectly.

Please refer below screenshot, where I have granted a Quick Reports’ Projection to a Functional Role and, similary Fucntional Role granted End User Role.

Please ensure above mentioned linking between Quick Report projection and End User role. This should resolve Quick report access issue.

Regards

Abdul Rehman
